The majority of my Captain CHOO series have a PRIMARY SCRIPTURE,

and SUPPORTING SCRIPTURES, as per the NIV Translation. 

These stories reflect the message behind their associated scriptures.

Whether you are a Christian or not, these are wholesome, positive, good life lessons for all.

  • 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

LEVITICUS 19:34

  • 34 The foreigner (“Alien” in NRSV version) residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

 

DEUTERONOMY 10:19

  • 19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

 

ZECHARIAH 7:9-10

  • 9 “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. 10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

  • I recommend looking up this long passage that tells the story of Joseph.

 

JAMES 1:2-4

  • 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

 

2 CHRONICLES 15:7

  • 7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
