Hi everyone!
It’s been a while.
Summer, with all its projects and busyness, is upon us. I hope everyone is doing well.
Work on New books has been relegated to the back burner until Fall, but the business continues to grow.
There are still plans to be present selling books in Full Character as Captain CHOO and First Mate Mrs. CHOO at the Taber, AB Corn Festival this year. That’s a HUGE venue, so it would be nice to have some practice before that is finalized.
Denise and I brainstormed last year about doing book readings at Schools and Churches as part of my marketing:
TOMORROW, we get THE FIRST TRIAL RUN, presenting a story for kids at our local church, the Taber Evangelical Church!
It’s important to make a good First impression! There’s significant work involved to prep for a mere ten-fifteen minute presentation;
-setting up/testing the TECH, (my “pokey” laptop, projector, projector screen, and power requirements,) and ensuring all the book files are ready and functioning in digital format.
-preparing our COSTUMES, which includes clothing, jewellery, wigs, hats, boots, belts and accessories. It actually takes a while to compile it all.
-PRACTICE reading without "hiccups" and being “IN CHARACTER," including learning the "lingo."
I’m quite nervous, but I hope this first attempt will succeed.
Your prayers to that effect will be much appreciated.
Blessings😃
Dave Chouhan, AKA Captain CHOO💖
