My head has been just about EXPLODING having to put off, "Why Christmas Matters" (working Title) for NINE long months!
No regrets! It has been a very productive summer on the home renovations and repairs. Things are finally falling into place, with Many stressful repairs completed, improvements to layout/flow, and considerable cosmetic updates inside and out.
It all means I can breathe easier now and be less distracted from my real "calling"...these books.
Most "creatives" agree that getting into the right mindset to do this kind of work takes time, and interruptions are super-aggravating. When those distractions require an extended Months-long hiatus it's also very challenging to "switch your brain back."
But this book is so meaningful (& also my first commissioned project) that NOTHING will stop it from becoming reality!
The picture above is of my drawing tablet, with a two-part page illustration in progress, the top half depicting Mary talking to God, and the lower half showing the departure of the Angel who visited her.

I resumed drawing on this page the day before yesterday, and I can't describe the joy of picking up my drawing pen and feeling that different form of creativity flow again!
There's a long way to go on this book yet, (I knew it wouldn't be ready for this Christmas,) but I'm bursting to get going on it full-out! It will have a few unique twists from the usual Captain CHOO style.
Due to the subject matter, I suspect this addition to the Collection will be in high demand.
