FIRST MATE MRS CHOO gets Re-Invented!

Hello, my friends!😍

Try as I might, my wife could not be convinced to LIKE the name Dead-Eye Rattling Rum, mainly the "Dead-eye" bit.😂 Hahaha...Oh well.😅

(FYI, "Dead-eye" is a reference to someone who is a good "shot" with a gun, which was why I originally gave her that tag.)

LUCKILY, being the Writer and illustrator, I have the means and ability to adapt the narrative. So...

I've written an entire new storyline for the First Mate!

Allow me to (RE-)introduce, (for you history buffs, modelled on the Lioness of Brittany):

DENISE CHOUHAN, AKA FIRST MATE MRS. CHOO,

AKA “The LIONESS OF PENZANCE,”

AKA "DEAD-SHOT RATTLING RUM!"

HER STORY:

BORN FEB 3, 1847 

NOW the Captain’s WIFE, She started out as an English Fisherman’s daughter from Penzance. 

When her hapless father was captured by an overzealous French Admiral, selling fish to pirates, he was also sentenced as a Pirate.  Denise was preparing to raise a legal defence, but, upon return to port, the next morning the Admiral promptly executed all the pirates, along with her father, before the trial!

Enraged, & seeking vengeance, Denise joined the Pirates of Penzance, learning their ways.

She caught on quickly, soon commanding her own ship, then spent the next 10 years attacking and sinking only French ships in the ENGLISH CHANNEL. 

Her attacks were sudden and vicious, deliberately leaving sole survivors to report back to the French who had wreaked this havoc. 

Her fearsome reputation earned her the Title, “The LIONESS OF PENZANCE,” as word of her famous exploits spread. 

Her crew would rattle grappling hooks & chains to intimidate ships they were attacking, so they’d surrender easier.  She also became famous as an amazing markswoman with her pistol, once standing on her deck and shooting a rival French Captain’s Rum bottle cap out of his hand at 200 yards. 

Her inner circle accordingly nicknamed her, “DEAD-SHOT RATTLING RUM.”

Whatever name you know her by, the CAPTAIN is lucky to have such a formidable EQUAL at his side, as he roams the High Seas chasing down Pirates!

I wouldn't mess with her!
