More progress on "Why Christmas Matters!"

Hello, Fans! š
I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been pushing myself hard to complete this next page.
Page 18 of "Why CHRISTMAS Matters" is done!
Being a completely separate event in this Bible story, we're introducing all new characters & settings, which means EVERYTHING is drawn from scratch, (with zero reference images from previous pages.)
I had to design King Herod and his palace, plus each of the Wise Men.
There's PLENTY to that process, from depicting their personalities, priorities, & ethnicities (I wanted to emphasize their "Eastern aspect") and garb, to specifics on jewellery and attire, plus colour selections for the outfits.
I'm happy with how these characters turned out. :)
This book is especially meaningful to me as a "legacy" work, so I am constantly reeling in my propensity to pursue extremely detailed art by remembering that this is, after all, a "kids" book.
Again, there are THREE separate "scenes" on this page, which always takes longer, especially when you consider I have to use CorelDraw after drawing the separate pics to customize how/where/and how large I can make the significant amount of accompanying Text.
It's also a meticulous endeavour to include and maximize all that TEXT effectively without covering or detracting from essential artwork. Things like Background "bubbles" & colors, Syllable "Phonics," Font, Character Sizing, Outline Thickness, Bolding, Italics, & Underlining all come into play. EVERYTHING is considered!
That leaves 4 more "jam-packed" pages to go!
