If you've been following the progress on my next book , "The GIRAFFE with a LAUGH," here on Page 16 the GIraffe finally starts answering the questions from all the curious jungle creatures.
They've never met a GIRAFFE!
They've never heard a LAUGH before! They don't know how to make it, how it feels, and especially what it's for!
But the Giraffe is about to tell them...
I'm working on Page 17 right now.
There are 23 in this book, so optimistically I hope to be done illustrating by March end. We will see.
For some reason, on this particular book (having completed my normal numerous edits in the writing phase) I find myself still doing some Major text editing during the illustration phase! I'm just finding more concise, efficient ways to share the story with even better "rhythm" flow (think "number of consonants per line." I think it's because my initial draft was so lengthy that I'm now hyper-focused on eliminating un-necessary "fluff."
Headsup for LOCAL FANS: I am still waiting on a really BIG sale from Blurb before ordering Print copies of my last book, "The BEAVER with a CLEAVER." I'll be sure to update you when that happens.
